If there could be ghosts, there will be Birkham. He is Josh Thompson’s cousin and a bit of a slacker who lives as a house sitter for his grandparents. They retired to Florida right after Birkham graduated from high school and couldn’t bear selling their Hollendell cottage. Birkham works at a local video arcade and has a flare for electronics. He even built his own ghost energy detector. Birkham is a unique individual from the way he speaks to the hearse that he drives.
